Hargroder Physical Therapy was established in 2001, offering physical therapy treatment by a team of  therapists who believe in the body’s capacity to heal, utilizing a comprehensive Myofascial Release approach

Hargroder Physical Therapy is the only physical therapy practice in the San Antonio area dedicated to providing fully hands on, one-on-one treatment utilizing a comprehensive Myofascial Release approach (MFR). Our team of therapists integrates over 25 years of physical therapy experience, and views every treatment as an opportunity for continued growth and learning, both for our patients and ourselves.

About Dianne PT, LMT

Dianne Hargroder has been a practicing Physical Therapist since May of 1989. Her initial years working at various inpatient and outpatient facilities offered experience with many aspects of adult neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation, with a special concentration in the aging and spinal cord injured populations. During that time, Dianne was introduced to Myofascial Release (MFR) using the John Barnes, PT approach, which focused the direction of the hands-on practice she was determined to provide. She began to see remarkable and undeniable results in mobility, pain and functional outcomes…with results far exceeding those from prior interventions. She quickly recognized the importance of offering this work to a larger scope of patients, and opened Hargroder Physical Therapy in 2001.

She has since directed over 20 years of time into ongoing educational seminars focusing on the MFR approach, teaching physical therapy interventions using this total-body approach of treatment addressing fascial restrictions presenting within the body that impede functional and structural balance and healing on all levels. The practice specializes in women's health, acute and chronic pain, and neuro and orthopedic challenges for those of any age.

We believe that healing is more than about simply feeling better…it is about truly getting better.

Elizabeth Foderaro LMT

Elizabeth earned her Massage Therapy license in December, 1989. After practicing massage therapy for six years, she pursued specialized training in the John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy method. “His methods completely changed the approach of my practice,” she says. Elizabeth has since received hundreds of hours training and completed the John Barnes series of MFR courses. In addition, she was also trained in Dr. Peter Levine’s three year program for Somatic Experiencing. A part of the HPT family since January of 2006, Elizabeth “feels blessed to work alongside an amazing team of therapists.”

Christian Cunningham, Office Manager

On staff since August, 2013, Christian’s prior experience as a media production coordinator honed her communication and interpersonal skills.  Add these to her innate knack for multi-tasking and problem-solving, and it’s easy to see why Christian is an effective office manager for HPT. It’s a role that enables Christian to realize her true passion each day: helping others. Christian loves being a vital part of the team that keeps HPT running smoothly and enjoys her coworkers as well the clients who grace our practice. “Seeing people realize freedom through MFR therapy—and the self-help tools we provide—is truly rewarding,” she says.

Amber Drabek PT

Amber is a native Texan, raised in Austin, Texas.  She attended Texas Tech Health Science Center in Odessa, Texas and received her Masters of Physical Therapy in 1997. In the spring of 2014, she sustained some personal injuries while on the job and was led divinely to become a patient at Hargroder Physical Therapy. Through her own personal struggles and awakenings, she began to develop a love and passion for John Barnes’ myofascial treatment and techniques.  In November 2014, she began her MFR training and soon, thereafter, became a staff member at HPT. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her rat terrier “Kristopher”.
